360 Photo Booth vs Classic Photo Booth: Which Is Right for Your Event?

360 video booth or a classic photo booth? Straight talk on the experience, cost, and guest flow so you pick the right one for your Toronto or GTA event.

"JJ, should we get the 360 or the regular booth?" I get this one all the time, and the honest answer is: it depends on your crowd and what you want people to walk away with. Let me help you figure it out the way I'd talk it through on a call.

Quick answer: Choose a 360 video booth for shareable, high-energy clips your guests post that night; choose a classic open-air booth for higher guest volume and digital sharing, with optional printed keepsakes on eligible bookings. Our Digital Photo Booth starts at $699 for three hours, digital only with no prints, and the 360 starts at $899 for three hours. Plenty of events book both, the 360 as the showpiece and the classic for volume.

    The quick version

    The 360 video booth

Your guests hop on a platform, a camera arm spins around them, and you get a slow-mo video set to music. It's the one built for social media, people post it before they even leave the party.

    • Best for: weddings with a younger crowd, brand activations, milestone birthdays, anything where you want content flying around online
    • The moment: a dramatic clip people share within minutes
    • The catch: one group at a time, so it works best as a highlight, not your only entertainment

The classic photo booth (open-air / digital)

Guests step up, grab props and take photos they can share digitally. Eligible private bookings can add printed keepsakes. It's the reliable crowd favourite that works for every age in the room, from the kids to grandma.

    • Best for: weddings, corporate events, family parties, anything with a wide age range
    • The moment: digital photos guests can share, with physical keepsakes when an eligible print upgrade is added
    • The upside: moves way more guests through in the same amount of time

    What about cost?

Straight up, the 360 costs more because of the gear and the video work behind it. Our Digital Photo Booth starts at $699 for three hours, digital only with no prints, and the 360 starts at $899 for three hours. Eligible private still-photo bookings can add a print upgrade from $199. If content and hype are the goal, the 360 earns it. If you want everybody in the room participating, the classic is your better value.

The one question that decides it

Ask yourself: what do I want my guests to leave with?

    • Want a clip they post that night? Go 360.
    • Want everybody joining in and optional printed keepsakes? Choose the classic booth with an eligible print upgrade.
    • Want both the hype and the volume? A lot of my clients run both, especially at weddings and bigger corporate events.

Match the booth to the room

Your space matters too. A 360 needs a bit of open floor and honestly looks best when it's set up as a feature, not shoved in a corner. A classic booth handles a steady line better, so it's the safer pick when you've got a big room and want to keep people moving. This is the stuff I ask about before your event, not the stuff I figure out when I show up.

    Still not sure? That's normal

The right booth comes down to your crowd, your venue, and what you want to remember. Tell me about your event and I'll point you to the setup that actually fits, no upsell. Get a custom quote within 24 hours, or compare our 360 video booth and digital photo booth in more detail.
