How we coordinated a 300+ guest corporate Glow Bingo in Toronto

A high-energy event needs more than great music. It needs a team that knows the plan, owns its roles and can adjust when the room changes.

    The brief

    One experience. Several moving parts.

For this Toronto corporate Glow Bingo, JJ Rock Entertainment Group supported more than 300 guests across music, hosting, sound, photo booth service and roaming content. Each part had to work with the event program, not compete with it.

We kept the client anonymous here so the focus stays on the work: how the team prepared, coordinated and delivered the experience.

    • DJ music and hosting to guide the room through the program
    • Audio support and testing for clear cues and transitions
    • A staffed photo booth with 2x6 photo-strip prints
    • Roaming coverage to capture moments beyond the booth

    Before the doors opened

The work started weeks before event day.

We visited the venue about six weeks ahead to understand the room, guest movement, lighting and where each activation would work best. From there, we planned equipment placement and the run of show with the event team.

I brought our team together to review the plan, assign responsibilities and make sure everyone knew how their part connected to the whole event. A day-before check-in helped us confirm details before load-in.

    On event day

Test, adjust, then open the room.

Our 2.5-hour setup window gave us time to position the DJ and audio equipment, prepare the booth, test the sound and check the camera in the actual lighting. The low-light environment required adjustment before guests arrived. That testing mattered: it protected the guest experience and the quality of the 2x6 photo strips guests could take home.

    A note from Jeannine

The operating experience behind the entertainment.

My years in different operational roles with the City of Toronto, including as an operations supervisor, taught me how to plan work, prepare people and respond when conditions change. I am grateful for that foundation. It is part of how I lead JJ Rock Entertainment Group today.

For corporate clients, that means a DJ and event team who take the preparation as seriously as the performance. Our goal is not simply to bring equipment into a room. It is to understand the event, coordinate the moving parts and make it easier for the people responsible for it.
